Oppo in its Inno Day 2020 event unveiled the Oppo X 2021 concept smartphone. “Continuously variable OLED display” is the latest technology used to make this rollable smartphone. The smartphone changes its size from a regular 6.7 inch sized smartphone to a tablet like 7.4 inch size. The size of the smart phone can be customized by the user. With just a single swipe, the smart phone can change its size. The company also claims that there are no cease lines visible on the smart phone as we see with the foldable smart phones. Oppo has certainly used many different technologies in the making of the device. They are using a “Roll Motor” powertrain which has two different motors that help in the extending as well as retracting of the rollable smartphone. It is because of this “Roll Motor” powertrain that any sudden push or pull will not damage the display of the smart phone. Along with the “Roll Motor” powertrain, Oppo is also using “Two in One Plate” technology which will help in the support of the display and protect it from collapsing. The company is also using the “Wrap Track” technology. The Wrap Track is placed just under the moving screen area. It can be expected that the cost of the rollable smartphone will be very high because of its complicated manufacturing and the latest technologies. The rollable smartphones will definitely cost you a fortune. And this will not be a lie to that, in not much time, devices like these foldable smartphones and the rollable smartphone will make it to the mainstream markets.

Oppo AR Glass 2021

The Oppo company also announced the Oppo AR Glass 2021. The AR Glass 2021 will be a new version of the original model which was launched last December. The AR Glass 2 is lighter in weight than the original model. The company even claims the new model to be 75% lighter than the original model. You can also attach Oppo Find X2 Pro to the headset with a USB- C Type cable. You can watch local videos as well as online videos in the AR headset which are similar to the experience of the VR headsets. The “Birdbath” optical solution is used in the Oppo AR Glass which is said to mimic the experience of a 90 inch TV screen. The glasses will also support Oppo’s voice assistance.
