Recently many creators on TikTok claimed that they had earned thousands of dollars by uploading pictures of their feet on the FeetFinder website. Andy, a TikTok creator in a video that went viral said, “Why did I just make like $70 on this thing called FeetFinder?”. He further added, “If you have cute feet, put them on FeetFinder. FeetFinder’s where it’s at because you’re getting paid for your feet.” A few days after the post went viral, he said that the post was sponsored and added the hashtag #ad on the post. FeetFinder Ads on TikTok Drama Unfolded

Post the creator’s receiving backlash over not stating that the video about FeetFinder is sponsored content. Upon the reaction of the TikTok community about the whole drama, FeetFinder commented that TikTok creators were supposed to disclose the fact that the videos promoting the site were ads. CEO of FeetFinder website Patrick Nielson said in a statement, “We suggested the influencers use hashtags like #ad or #sponsored” at the beginning of the caption along with adding the text dramatization by paid actors so all people viewing the TikTok knew they were ads.” Tiktok is still flooded with videos that the users don’t know if they are organic or an ad.
